フィリピンの私立大学で最高峰と称される「デラサール大学」にてAIエンジニアやデータエンジニアを対象に「AI & Big Dataカンファレンス」を開催しました。
国内IT最大手のAI部門を率いるMr.Mac Aydinan氏やフィリピン政府からファンディングされ小売業界向けにAIの開発・リサーチをされているDr. Miguel Francisco氏、マイクロソフトエンジニアのTomoya Yamanaka氏がスピーカー・パネリストとして参加くださいました。
フィリピンにおけるAIやビックデーターの現状とトレンド、成功・失敗事例、求めるエンジニアの人材像、今後の予測とニューテックが与えるインパクトについてディスカッションしました。
大学の友人でもあり、日系投資ファンドで活躍する投資家も優秀な若手エンジニアに事業紹介に来てくれました。エネルギー産業におけるAI技術やブロックチェーンを活用した事例を混ぜた企業プレゼンには参加者みんなが関心を寄せていました。
大学の代表が「これらのニューテックは近い将来の話ではなく、今既に導入され変化をもたらしている」とオープニングでスピーチいただきました。
大学のモットーでもある「The Future Begins Here 」にあるよう、このカンファレンスがフィリピンにおけるエンジニア育成とイノベーション創出の一助となれば幸いです。

Hosted ”AI and Big data Conference” in Manila. As someone who is very keen to know how the technology will shape the future, we are delighted to see this conference is well-received by the tech community in the Philippines. Having a bunch of great minds on the stage is like having the future presented in front of us, giving us great insights about the current and the future of AI, Blockchain and Big Data in the Philippines. All of these, we believe, are a part of the key that unlocks the window of the way to tackle the many possibilities in the future.
